The old way of hiding your hashtags
Before we dig into the new way you may want to know what the old is and what not to do. You will see it will take more time of your day than with Tailwind.
Grab your notes app, get your hashtags and then turn to Instagram again to put hashtags into comments.
You see it is too complicated and time-consuming not to get the help of Tailwind and save more time.
So the solution is to try out the new feature which is put the hashtags in the first comment.
1. Hide Hashtags on Instagram in the First Comment
If you post your pictures on Instagram via Tailwind you will see a new checkbox which allows you to put hashtags in the first comment section.
It’s so simple and you don’t have to deal with cluttered captions anymore.
Here’s how to post, schedule, and add your hashtags:
- Upload your image or video, write your caption, and then type the # symbol to get predictive hashtag suggestions.
- Click to choose or add frequently-used hashtags from your list.
- Check the box to move those comments from your caption to your first comment.
- Click “add to queue” to automatically schedule your post for the best time.
2. Hiding your hashtags in the caption
There is a way to make your caption looking nice while you add your hashtags in it. I personally used this way before I started using Tailwind‘s new feature.
You only have to format your caption so that adds a line break this way you pushing the hashtags in the more section while you still will get engagement, but will be only visible if they read more of your caption.
You can’t see this line break when you browse Instagram with your laptop, but only with the app.
If you want to save more time formatting your Instagram caption I also recommend using Tailwind cause you will able to create lists with your most used hashtags. You can add line breaks, emojis, symbols, and characters.
Question time:
Which one do you prefer? Hashtags in your caption or first comment?
